America’s Registry of Outstanding Professionals Honors Dr. Jerry Pratt with a Membership in Their 2016 Roundtable

Dr. Jerry Pratt of Schoolcraft, Michigan is being recognized by America’s Registry of Outstanding Professionals as a 2016 Roundtable Member for his outstanding contributions and achievements in the field of Healthcare.

Farmingdale, NY, August 24, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Dr. Jerry Pratt was born in Newport, Rhode Island. He earned his B.A. at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia and his M.D. at the Medical College of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth. He joined the staff of the Borgess Heart Institute in Kalamazoo, Michigan after leaving the University of California Davis Medical Center (UCDMC), Sacramento as a heart surgeon. He is the Medical Director, Thoracic Surgery at Borgess. Dr. Pratt’s experience in minimally invasive heart surgery is extensive. Dr. David Martin said of him when he joined Borgess Heart institute, “Dr. Pratt brings minimally invasive techniques for heart-valve replacement and repair to the Borgess Heart Institute, which brought open-heart surgery to southwest Michigan residents in 1971. He has performed hundreds of minimally invasive heart-valve surgeries.” He is a highly decorated retired USAF Colonel who served tours of duty in Iraq and Iran as a surgeon. Dr. Pratt served as Chief of Cardiothoracic Surgery and Commander of the Heart, Lung & Vascular Center at David Grant Medical Center, Travis Air Force Base, Fairfield, California. He has numerous honors and awards to his credit including: America’s Top Surgeons, Consumer Research Council of America. 2004-16, Excalibur Award, Society of Air Force Clinical Surgeons, 2012 and USAF Surgical Excellence Award, 2003. In addition to his education at the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, he received professional military education at the United States Air Force Air War College.
