US Senate Candidate De La Fuente to Attend
Orlando, FL, July 15, 2016 --(PR.com)-- The Hillsborough County Democratic Black Caucus will be hosting a Candidate Forum at Beulah Baptist Institutional Church on Friday, July 15, 2016. The forum will begin at 11:15 AM with candidates for the Hillsborough County School Board District 5 and conclude at 4:30 PM with candidates for the Florida State House of Representatives District 63.

Hillsborough County School Board Districts 1, 3 and 7 will be represented along with District 5. Candidates for Hillsborough County Clerk of Court and all the candidates for Hillsborough County Commissioner will also be present.

At the State-level, candidates for State Attorney and Florida State Senate Districts 18 and 19 will be in attendance as well as candidates for Florida State House of Representatives Districts 59 and 61 along with District 63.

Candidate for United States Congress will be speaking from 1:10-1:40 PM, including the latest Democratic to join the race for United States Senate, “Rocky” Roque De La Fuente.

De La Fuente, a resident of Orlando and recent participant in the Democratic Presidential Primary (having run in 40 states, 5 territories and the District of Columbia), just joined the race three weeks ago. He has already shocked some political pundits by finishing third in the Casselberry Chamber’s heavily attended straw poll this past Wednesday only 7 percent behind Rep. Patrick Murphy.

De La Fuente falls into the category of “non-traditional candidate” that has become so fashionable this election cycle. He has vast private sector experience in job creation, understands the economy, and is committed to resolving environmental concerns. His bilingual presence in the race could shake things up among the establishment candidates.

Beulah Baptist Institutional Church is located at 1006 W. Cypress St, Tampa, FL 33605. For more information about the Hillsborough County Democratic Black Caucus and the Candidate Forum, go to http://www.hillsboroughcountydemocrats.org/.
