Laurenda Salandy is a mother of two teenagers, who runs workshops for women at churches and other organizations. She holds a Bachelor's degree in education, and has been a teacher for the past twenty years. She works with teenagers at church, and is a good mentor to them. The subjects discussed range from female hygiene issues to proper selection of clothes and make-up, to how to approach relationships with boys. Most of this book, however, deals with self-esteem, as it advises girls on crucial information about the importance of maintaining a moral standing in life and coming to know their own value.
