TAG Signs NetSuite to the Cleveland Indians

The Indians add NetSuite to their roster, an all-in-one cloud business management suite.

San Diego, CA, December 28, 2016 --(PR.com)-- TAG, a premier NetSuite Solution Provider and NetSuite Digital Agency Partner, announced that Major League Baseball’s American League Champions, the Cleveland Indians, has switched from Microsoft Great Plains to NetSuite ERP as its core financial management system.

“TAG successfully implemented NetSuite ERP and NetSuite OneWorld at the start of the Cleveland Indians 2016 baseball season,” said Donna Sandsmark, Director of NetSuite Professional Services at TAG. “With NetSuite, the financial department is able to run all back-office operations and financial business processes in the cloud,” she said.

After NetSuite was put into effect, the Cleveland Indians were able to completely replace additional applications they were using for purchasing, accounts payable workflow and financial reporting. Some of the key features of NetSuite that are being utilized include: Purchasing to track inventory, such as bats, balls, gloves, office supplies and uniforms; Fixed Assets to maintain the complete lifecycle across depreciating or non-depreciating assets from creation to depreciation, revaluation and disposal; Expense Reporting to manage all employees and scouts expenses while tracking payment processing electronically in the cloud; Adaptive Insights, a cloud-based reporting and analysis tool that seamlessly integrates with NetSuite.

NetSuite OneWorld provides multi-subsidiary revenue recognition requirements and real time visibility for the Cleveland Indians. This covers their five subsidiaries, including the Dominican Republic team, minor league teams and a charity organization.

“TAG and NetSuite have helped us streamline our operations and make it possible for our personnel to be more productive no matter where they are located around the globe,” said Ken Stefanov, Chief Financial Officer, Cleveland Indians. “We continue to experience great customer service from TAG and highly recommend using the firm for NetSuite deployment and on-going professional services,” he said.

The Cleveland Indians faced the Chicago Cubs in the 112th World Series and lost in seven games. The Tribe ended their season with many accolades, including a franchise record 14-game win streak, the American League Championship, Francisco Lindor was named the 2016 Rawlings Gold Glove Award recipient and Terry Francona was named AL Manager of the Year.
