Free Wheelchair Mission Names New Executive Director
Irvine, CA, February 07, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Nuka Solomon has been named Executive Director for Free Wheelchair Mission (FWM), a world leader in mobility solutions for people with disabilities in developing countries. She will report to President and Founder, Dr. Don Schoendorfer.

Solomon comes to Free Wheelchair Mission from United Way of Greater Los Angeles, where she had served since 2013. During her time at United Way, Solomon worked as Director of Shared Services, Development Operations and as Director of Major Gifts. She also brings experience in the medical industry, having served as a board member for Brighteyes – supporting the Vision Center of Children’s Hospital Los Angeles – and The Luminaries, Juniors – benefiting the Doheny Eye Institute.

Solomon has organized free vision screening clinics for low-income families, chaired annual benefit auctions, and has overseen the execution of annual strategic account planning for campaigns generating over $30 million in revenue.
