ZPTV is Beginning to Change the Way People Watch Streaming Media

A global audience will help determine what they see on their screens. Viewers can now voice their opinions on rating system that goes beyond four stars.

San Francisco, CA, April 03, 2017 --(PR.com)-- The founders at ZPTV have always provided independent film makers a platform to exhibit their work. Now the role that ZPTV plays between the independent film community and a worldwide audience has become even greater. On March of 2017, ZPTV began streaming short films on the Roku® system along with an interactive program that gives viewers a real opportunity to voice their opinion. "We added this feature for people who love to watch movies and then talk about them later," said Derek Zemrak co-founder of Zemrak Pirkle Productions, the parent company of ZPTV. "This is not a passive four star rating system. Everyone has one of those. Our viewers demand more. Now they can rate the quality of the plot, editing, cinematography, music and other elements of our content."

ZPTV streams video content that people want. "We listen to their audience," said Derek. "Their feedback helps us decide on what content to release." The results from viewer feedback delivers another advantage. The ZPTV channel shares viewers opinions with the independent film producers. Derek said, "This is comprehensive marketing data that a struggling independent film producer doesn't have to pay for. Our viewer response will help them make smart decisions about their creative work."

Chad Caines developed ZPTV and designed an interactive response solution for the channel. Chad focused on convenience. "We give our audience two ways to get started." Chad said. "They can scan a QR tag with their smartphone or go directly to a menu using their web browser." The channel displays a QR code at the end of each film. The viewer scans the code with a QR code reader installed on their phone or tablet and that will open the review questions on their device. The viewer can also visit their website at http://zemrak.com/zptv/vote. The landing page shows a menu option for each film open for review. It is not a problem if the viewers opinions change. Participants can rate any title as many times as they wish. Only their latest response will become part of the program statistic.

ZPTV and ZPTV Premium is a high definition streaming video service that you can find on Roku® devices and Roku® powered TVs. Watch independent films, classic movies, original programs not seen anywhere else.
