Thomas Moore Wins Independent Press Award for "The Soul of Christmas"

The bestselling author of "Care of the Soul" has been recognized with an Independent Press Award for his book "The Soul of Christmas."

Cincinnati, OH, May 18, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Moore receives national recognition through the Independent Press Award®.

The Independent Press Award competition has recognized The Soul of Christmas, written by Thomas Moore and published by Franciscan Media, as a winner in the category of Holiday.

In The Soul of Christmas, Moore, author of more than a dozen books including the New York Times bestselling Care of the Soul, turns his trademark blend of storytelling, faith, and psychological insight to the tales and traditions of the Christmas season. He explores the deeper meanings behind some of our most cherished holiday practices, never losing sight of the joy and enchantment Christmas can evoke.

“We were thrilled to work with an author of Moore’s stature,” said Kelly Hudson, director of marketing at Franciscan Media. “This award is certainly exciting, but it’s not entirely surprising that his work would be recognized in this way.”

The Independent Press Award competition is judged by experts from all aspects of the book industry, including publishers, writers, editors, book cover designers and professional copywriters. They select award winners and distinguished favorites based on overall excellence.

"In 2017, we had worldwide participation, from London to Australia, from Portugal to Hong Kong, and are so proud to announce the winners and favorites in our annual Independent Press Award. Independent publishing is alive and well, and continues to gain traction worldwide," said awards sponsor Gabrielle Olczak.
