Linda Richardson-Beaird, MA, APRN, CNS of St. Louis Park, Minnesota, recognized by the International Assoc. of Who’s Who for exemplary achievements in the field of Psychotherapy.

St. Louis Park, MN, August 15, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Linda Richardson-Beaird has spent over 40 years in the mental health field, beginning her career as a psychiatric nurse. Combining both her nursing background and her psychology education, Ms. Richardson-Beaird offers unique expertise and assistance to her clients.

Linda Richardson-Beaird attended St. Mary's School of Nursing in Rochester, Minnesota from 1966 to 1969, earning a Diploma in Nursing. After working at St. Mary’s Hospital as a staff and charge nurse on the closed psychiatric unit and 10 yrs. as a co-therapist at the Intensive Psychotherapy Center at the Mayo Clinic, she went on to the University of Minnesota, earning a Bachelor of Applied Studies Degree in Group Work in Mental Health. In 1980 she moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota and worked in a variety of settings. Finding her niche in psychotherapy, Linda Richardson-Beaird attended St. Mary’s University of Minnesota to continue her education and in 1988, earned Master of Arts Degree in Counseling and Psychological Services.

In 1991, after becoming Board Certified as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Adult Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing, she started her own private psychotherapy practice. Ms. Linda Richardson – Beaird’s areas of expertise include individual and couples counseling, group therapy, meditation, and mind/body work. In 2004 she completed a 1-year yoga study & teacher training at the Yoga Center of Minneapolis to deepen her knowledge of yoga and its philosophies, to which she offers to her clients when applicable. Whether her clients are seeking help for adjustment problems, stress, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationship issues, post-traumatic stress disorder, eating disorders, dealing with chronic health issues, postpartum depression, sexual abuse, workplace issues, or self-esteem issues, Ms. Richardson-Beaird is able to assist in healing and in developing strategies for a fuller and healthier lifestyle.

In addition to being Board Certified as a Clinical Nurse Specialist, she is licensed by the Minnesota Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse and an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. Ms. Richardson-Beaird is a member of the American Nurses’ Association, the Minnesota Organization of Registered Nurses and Minnesota Women in Psychology.

When not at the office helping clients, Ms. Linda Richardson-Beaird enjoys spending her time with family and friends, hiking, skiing, traveling, biking, reading, yoga, gardening and walking her dogs.
