Dr. William North Brings Excellence Home; Joins Runnels Center
Jackson-Native Plastic Surgeon Returns to Home State
Jackson, MS, August 25, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Plastic surgeon William North, MD has joined the Runnels Center and is now accepting patients. A Jackson, MS native, he returns to his home state from Lexington, KY, where he completed a residency at the prestigious University of Kentucky.
Dr. North focus on offering the latest state-of-the-art surgical and non-surgical procedures in this rapidly changing field of medicine.
“Dr. North and I share the same emphasis in out training ad the same goals in our practice,” said Scott Runnels, MD, FACS who founded the Runnels Center in 2005, “learn the best and most innovative medical and surgical techniques from experts in the field, then bring those skills and expertise back for the benefit patients in our home state.“ When asked, Dr. Runnels stated that they were “very excited” about Dr. North joining the practice.
While at UK, Dr. North was awarded First Place in the Kentucky Society of Plastic Surgery Resident Research Competition, and authored numerous research and other articles for leading plastic surgery journals. In 2016, he received the Glancy Award from the Southeastern Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons for his work on innovative techniques in breast reconstruction. Medicine runs in the family; his father is local OB-GYN and novelist, Dr. Darden North.
