Principled Technologies Releases Study Comparing Incident Management and Server Deployment Using Dell EMC OpenManage Enterprise Integrations vs. Manual Methods

Durham, NC, October 23, 2019 --(PR.com)-- Administrators spend significant time completing routine incident management and server deployment tasks, and any strategies that can speed up these tasks mean more time for innovation. Principled Technologies (PT) tested two Dell EMC OpenManage Enterprise integrations - one that works with ServiceNow, called OMISNOW, and one that works with Red Hat Ansible, called OpenManage Ansible modules. Their goal was to see how much time using the integrations could save administrators when tracking service tickets and deploying servers.

According to the report, “We found that using OMISNOW to create, update, and resolve tickets eliminated administrator time and steps after initial setup, which could save up to 10 hours per 500 events versus doing the same tasks manually. Similarly, OpenManage Ansible modules automated tasks including OS deployment, BIOS configuration, and firmware updates, saving over two minutes per server versus configuring the system manually - time that adds up quickly in large data centers.”
