Exhibition to Feature Chinese Calligraphy Works from Master Calligrapher and Students in Signal Hill, CA

Signal Hill, CA, December 09, 2017 --(PR.com)-- West Coast Wing Chun announces an exhibition of Chinese calligraphic art, by Master Calligrapher Shantien Tom Chow and his students. The exhibit will be available for viewing by the public on December 10, 2017 from 3pm to 5pm. Works from Master Chow, as well as a few of his students of his “Touch of the Brush” calligraphy class will be on display.

Shantien Tom Chow has studied Chinese calligraphy and painting under the greatest masters of the 1960s. He has exhibited in Taiwan, Japan, China and the U.S., and creates annual calligraphy works for the Sony Corporation. Chow has been teaching brush art for over 30 years, and most recently, his students’ works were well received at an exhibition at the Huntington Library, among other masterful works of Asian calligraphers.

Calligraphy is one of the most ancient and revered forms of art and self-expression in Chinese culture. The traditional Chinese calligraphy course taught by Master Chow and hosted at West Coast Wing Chun offers the study and practice of Chinese calligraphy, and therefore insights into many aspects of Chinese culture and tradition.
