iHEAR® Medical Announces the Retail Launch of Home-Based Hearing Screener at RBC Cardinal Health Conference in San Diego
San Diego, CA, June 27, 2018 --(PR.com)-- iHEAR® Medical announced that it will launch the iHEARTEST™ Kit – a clinical paradigm shift in hearing screening technology – at the 2018 RBC Cardinal Health Conference in San Diego, June 27. For the first time ever, the public will be able to walk into their local independently owned pharmacy and purchase the iHEARTEST™Kit that they can use at home to evaluate their hearing.

Approximately 20 percent of the population reports some degree of hearing loss, according to the Hearing Loss Association of America. iHEAR® Medical home-hearing screening kits, which will be available through major drugstore chains and independent pharmacies across the country, will give easy and instant access to consumers who want to check their own hearing from the comfort of home.

At the annual Cardinal Health Conference, held June 27th to 30th, more than 3,000 independent pharmacists and drug store representatives will have the opportunity to screen their hearing and see their results in minutes. The iHEARTEST™Kit will be featured in the Cardinal Health main show booth with two screening stations. It is the only FDA-cleared home-hearing screener available direct to consumers for home use.

iHEAR® Medical is also introducing a brand new product to the retail drug store community at this conference: the TReO™ by iHEAR® Medical – a barely visible, 100% digital personal sound amplification product that amplifies sound and clarifies speech while suppressing unwanted noise. A consumer can buy their TReOTM amplifiers, take them home and begin using them in minutes.

“We are excited for the opportunity to launch the TReO TM by iHEAR® Medical and the iHEARTEST™ Kit in Cardinal Health’s network of independent pharmacies,” said iHEAR® Medical CEO John Luna. “Offering the FDA-cleared iHEARTEST™ and our advanced hearing amplifier, TReOTM, over-the-counter will break persisting barriers to hearing healthcare and improve the accessibility and affordability of high quality hearing solutions to consumers in the U.S. Instead of wondering, consumers can now ask “What’s My Hearing Number™? With the iHEARTEST™, they will be able to know their 'Hearing Number™' and manage their hearing loss themselves at a much lower cost from the privacy of their homes.”
