Natural Cutie Weekend Takeover Highlights Natural Hair, Business, and Scholarships

Natural Cuties takes over the weekend helping to bring attention to natural hair, business acumen, and scholarships for young ladies over the 4th weekend in August.

Memphis, TN, August 09, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Natural Cuties announced today its Natural Cutie Weekend Takeover by embracing the community and women empowerment, and highlighting the beauty, ingenuity, and versatility of African American hair. Natural Cuties seeks to celebrate the strength of African American girls and women while connecting them to businesses and organizations that acknowledge and appreciate natural beauty with several concepts over the weekend. The Little Miss and Miss Teen Natural Cutie Scholarship Pageant (ages 1-17 years) will commence during this time to fulfill appreciation of their natural curls, build confidence with a non-academic scholarship awarded to the teen winner (13-17). The All-Star Competition will promote a Shark Tank inspired opportunity for one of the participants to endorse their business platform and win a collaborative partnership with Natural Cuties for future development of their project.

The wave of natural hair and black women in business has been growing over the last several years. “Natural Cuties is continually looking for ways to enhance the experience of the girls and women who love their natural hair and desire a place in the business world," says Pametria Brown, author and founder of Natural Cuties. “It is a whimsical weekend to celebrate natural hair while giving these young ladies confidence in who they are in the world. As natural hair becomes more socially acceptable, it has turned into a profitable business market, and we want to groom and properly educate our audience about those opportunities. Despite the corporate world telling us that natural hair is not acceptable we know natural hair is beautiful, vibrant and here to stay.” The event will have local vendors and businesses such as The Chiro Place, Lily Rose Studios, and Dean of Fashion Boutique. Some of the sponsors include State Farm, The Institute of Beauty, Dr. Dena Granger, Smooth Living and A Natural Affair Beauty Lounge.

The Natural Cutie Takeover is August 24-26, 2018 with the Money Moves Mixer starting the weekend at 3078 Summer Avenue at the Green Goddess Tea Lounge. This is a free invite-only event for our sponsors, vendors, and business stakeholders. For more information, go to www.iamanaturalcutie.com.
