The exhibit is supported by Art Share L.A., a non-profit at the DTLA Arts District who provides a creative environment for artists to develop, perform, and exhibit. This exhibit will be held at the Angel City Brewery, where Art Share L.A. has sponsored monthly shows highlighting work by artists of all medium.

Common Threads II, will showcase photography art only, with an open theme. Work in digital, analog, color/BW, or alternative processing are all acceptable. The exhibit will continue to dialog shared voices and patterns across diverse bodies of work as introduced in Common Threads I.

The exhibit will be curated by fine arts photographer Richard S. Chow, who is also the curator/co-producer for Open Show Los Angeles.

An entry fee of $20 will be required for a submission of 5 images for the open call. Please indicate the size of the finished work (framed) with each image. Please submit JPG images that are 1200 pxl on the short side and 72 dpi. If you are accepted into the show, there will be an additional fee of approximately $50 per artist to cover other costs (e.g. labels, installation, marketing, etc.) The work must be delivered with wires in the back and ready to hang and must be framed or otherwise protected.

All of the entry fees obtained (minus costs) will be donated to Los Angeles Center of Photography (LACP) and to celebrate their 20th year anniversary, to support their charter of enabling and promoting photography communities, providing free after-school programs to underprivileged youths at local Boys and Girls Clubs in So Cal. Don't miss the opportunity to support a great cause, while exhibiting and marketing your art at a venue with significant foot traffic and exposure.
