iCare Home Health Invited to Present Innovative Health Espresso App at AI & Healthcare Conference

Oakville, Canada, May 18, 2019 --(PR.com)-- iCare Home Health is proud to announce that company President Rick Menassa was a panelist at Transatlantic Dialogue: AI in Healthcare: A Canadian-German Perspective. Menassa spoke about iCare Home Health’s Health Espresso platform, which is an innovation in patient-centred digital healthcare solutions connecting primary physicians and hospitals to a patient’s circle of care in real-time.

The conference, held in Berlin, was a joint initiative between Canada and Germany, facilitated by the Canadian-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce.

Artificial intelligence is an important component of the Health Espresso platform. Focused on prevention and adherence, Health Espresso uses AI to power functions such as appointment and medication reminders, and the digital tracking of vital signs.

Menassa was invited to speak on pattern recognition as a component of preventative care. Drawing from his experience with Health Espresso, he explained how AI can help care providers get ahead of the curve, by moving from prevention to prediction.

The trip to Germany also included a tour of various German companies, with the goal of understanding how they’re incorporating artificial intelligence into healthcare.

Health Espresso was created to allow families and caregivers the ability to remotely monitor their loved one’s health while under the care of iCare Home Health, an award-winning, innovative agency that promotes safe aging in place. Health Espresso’s goal is to reduce emergency admissions and enhance overall health by focusing on real time tracking of body readings, safe medication management, and offering a patient-centered approach to managing individuals' health.

“Using our Health Espresso platform, we opted to leverage technology to give people real-time tracking of their loved one's well-being. The goal of, One Patient, One Digital Care plan, is to empower patients and their families to make informed decisions and give us directions as to how to manage their loved one's healthcare plan,” said Menassa.
