Pamela Froman Wins Town & Country’s 2008 Couture Design Award

Las Vegas, NV, July 11, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Pamela Froman, best known for her innovative designs combining multiple colors of 18k gold, was presented with the prestigious Town & Country Couture Design Award for “Best of Gold” during a fabulous awards ceremony/cocktail party at the Wynn’s posh new boutique nightclub Blush.

At the 14th annual Town & Country Couture Design Awards, up-and-coming designer Pamela Froman was presented with the Award for Best of Gold, arguably the most competitive category with more than 50 entrants, including some of the biggest designers and gold brands in the world. The winning piece was Pamela’s stunning one-of-a-kind “Gothic Harlequin Cross” Pendant, a creative combination of 18k White and 22k “Crushed” Gold, featuring a beautiful Aquamarine hand-cut in the shape of a cross; the back of the Pendant is as beautiful as the front, with detailed scroll cut-outs surrounding the designer’s signature “PF” logo. Due to the intense popularity of the piece, Pamela plans to make a small collection of Gothic Crosses, but each will be unique.

Pamela Froman began her career in Paris, designing jewelry for top European couturier salons, including Courreges, Cacharel, Carita, Guy Larouche, and Valentino. In 2004, she felt the time was right to unveil her personal definition of exceptional jewelry, and began work on her signature line. Pamela was awarded the title of “Rising Star” when she debuted her collection of fine jewelry at the 2006 JCK Show in Las Vegas, and InDesign Magazine has now identified her as one of the 10 Best New Jewelry Designers in 2008. Pamela hand-selects exquisite diamonds, unique gemstones, and rare pearls, pairing them with Platinum, 22k, and distinct colors of 18k gold to create her unique pieces. “I feel strongly that individuality is the underlying theme of beauty,” the designer explains. “Each piece is handmade, so no two will ever be identical, even if they are similar in design.”

The Couture Design Awards – the Oscars of the fine jewelry world – is the premier annual event for the industry, occurring each year during the Couture Jewelry Show in Las Vegas. Town & Country magazine, “the leading consumer magazine in the world for the jewelry industry” according to publisher Jim Taylor, hosts the highly anticipated event that honors the best in couture-level design. Award winners are determined by votes from Couture retailers, press, and industry peers.
