About Taryn Taylor

Taryn Taylor is the Primary Care Sports Medicine Physician at the Carleton Sports Medicine Clinic. Dr. Taylor received her M.D. at the University of Ottawa Medical School and an M.Sc. in Sports Medicine at the School of Kinesiology, Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Western Ontario. She was a Resident in Family Medicine and a Fellow in Sports Medicine at the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Medicine, Dept. of Family Medicine. She is the Author/Co-Author of numerous books, manuals, presentations and research journals. In 2009 Dr. Taylor was nominated for the CFPC New Physicians Award and in 2010 provided medical coverage for the Men’s Hockey Olympic Games in Vancouver, British Columbia. Dr. Taylor is an Associate Professor and Clinical Teacher at the University of Ottawa, a Sports Medicine Fellowship Faculty Member, a member of the OMA, CMA, CASM, ACSM, the Federation of Medical Women of Canada and she has served on the Organizing Committee for the combined OMA/CASM Conference in Toronto, Ontario in June, 2010. She enjoys travel and outdoor sports.
