For the second time this year, the port of Southampton will see a magnificent line-up of six cruise ships, berthed simultaneously, on 16th July 2011. In January this year, the first "Six Ships Extravaganza" took place, and the role call on that occasion included two Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines’ ships – Balmoral and Black Watch. This was the first time for over 50 years that so many cruise ships had docked together in the port, and a huge crowd came out to greet them. - July 23, 2011
Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines – winner of the ‘Best Cruise Line for Groups’ accolade in the 2011 Group Travel Awards – has just launched a useful, dedicated brochure for group travel organisers. The new brochure sets out all the benefits available to groups, as well as giving details of capacities of the main rooms on each ship, so that events and meetings can be planned in advance. - July 23, 2011

The Danish port of Aalborg opened its new city centre cruise berth on 25th May 2011, and the first ship to dock there was Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines’ 1350-guest Balmoral. The new Aalborg Royal City Berth is right in the centre of the town, making it extremely convenient for cruise ship guests to go ashore.
