Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines' Balmoral is First Ship to Visit New Cruise Berth at Aalborg
The Danish port of Aalborg opened its new city centre cruise berth on 25th May 2011, and the first ship to dock there was Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines’ 1350-guest Balmoral. The new Aalborg Royal City Berth is right in the centre of the town, making it extremely convenient for cruise ship guests to go ashore. This quay is also used by the Danish Royal Yacht, Dannebrog.
Martin Lister, Planning Manager for Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, said, “We are delighted that Balmoral is the first cruise ship to berth at the new Aalborg Royal City Berth, and we are honoured that we have been asked to open the new berth officially, and to play a key role in this prestigious event. I am sure the crew and guests aboard Balmoral were all delighted to take part in the celebrations.”
