Trendsales.fi Solicits New Fashion Design Talent Using Crowd-Sourcing

Inspired by social media, this crowd-sourced design contest tapped into a growing business model where companies go directly to consumers for e.g. content, or ideas. Three candidates were elected to the finals and one was elected based on the number of Facebook "like" votes. Facebook’s "like" button was integrated into the website and has proven to be successful as a crowdsourcing tool for consumers to determine what design project is hot and which motivation to vote for. - May 15, 2011
