Fall of Communism Launches Wave of Eastern Bloc Authors That Continues to Impact Literature 25 Years Later
With the communist Revolutions of 1989, fiction writing in previously suppressed and censored Eastern Bloc countries has found a renaissance and talented writers to take up the call. Writing in English, Ariane Vai is such a writer, one of a new wave of science fiction and fantasy authors to come out of Poland.
