Underground Hip-Hop Artist, R.E.U.B., Charts Own Path with Billboard Takeover

Virginia based artist fuses underground lyrics and mainstream music on new remix album, The Billboard Insurgence: R.E.Mixed.

Arlington, VA, August 14, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Virginia based hip-hop artist/producer R.E.U.B prepares for "The Billboard Insurgence: R.E.mixed," a verbal takeover of Billboard chart toppers with new concepts and a fresh perspective. R.E.U.B has been featured in Allhiphop.com's Breeding Ground, CMJ.com, Nobodysmiling.com, Hiphopdx.com and currently his music can be heard featured on Music Choice.

"I just wanted to show my fans and hiphop fans in general that hit music can be quality music. I don't have to be underground to have something to say. I can actually take the highest profile/ mainstream songs out today and make them even better. This album should be proof to fans/labels/journalists that R.E.U.B. is a force to be acknowledged by the Billboard as well as the underground!", R.E.U.B says of the album.

Such R.E.U.B remixes as "No One" by Alicia Keys, "Superstar" by Lupe Fiasco and "Buddy" by Musiq have gained worldwide plays on college, internet, satellite and even top local commercial stations. Dance Machine 3007 is currently in rotation on Washington DC's #1 station, WPGC 95.5's new HD station, Crank. "I felt like I needed to talk about everything that had been happening in my life in the last few months. I had to mention some of the people that influenced some of the more relevant thoughts and emotions." R.E.U.B states as his motivation for the remix album's single, a twist of John Mayer's "Waiting on The World to Change".

The remix album will be followed later this year by the highly anticipated debut album "The [Black] Rapper Show" where R.E.U.B has enlisted the likes of DJ/producer/innovator Clinton Sparks, who was named by USA Today and Rolling Stones as one of the top 10 DJs in the world.
