)-- One of Europe’s largest independent and immensely popular churches is preparing itself for the UK’s pre-eminent Christian conference and exhibition this summer. The East London based Kingsway International Christian Centre, will be hosting the International Gathering of Champions conference once again this year. Entitled ‘Empowered to prosper’ the conference which takes place between Sunday 24th August – Sunday 31st August, looks set to become the biggest conference the church has hosted to date.
The International Gathering of Champions or IGOC, as it is fondly known as, has been successfully produced by the church since 1991 and has firmly established itself in the religious calendar of Christians worldwide. This year sees a change of venue as the church, whose previous headquarters in Hackney, and is now being developed for the 2012 Olympic Games. This year the prestigious Excel Centre in London Docklands will play host to the week long event.
The Church is successfully led by the charismatic senior pastor Matthew Ashimolowo, who, along with invited speakers from around the world, will be teaching at the conference. Pastor Matthew commented;
“This year’s theme will give those who attend the guidance needed in this time of financial constraints. When the world is worried about the current credit crunch crises, the Church must realise that we have the answer to every challenge and to every need including financial ones. Everyone who attends this year’s conference will receive the tools to empower them to progress not only financially, but in every area of their life.”

Jakes from the USA, applauded by Time magazine as one of America’s best preachers, Dr Mensa Otabil, Ghana’s unsurpassed Educationalist, Philanthropist and Preacher and Bishop David Oyedepo, Leader of Faith Tabernacle and the largest 50,000 capacity church auditorium in the world, as well as a host of other celebrated speakers including, Bishop Tudor Bismark from Zimbabwe, Pastor Robb Thompson, Bishop Eddie Long, Dr Jamal Bryant, Prophetess Juanita Bynum and Dr Bill Winston, all from USA.
