ChromeOrange™ Debuts ‘anthem for Change’ -- Project and Song Are Dedicated to Barack Obama’s Presidential Campaign

New York, NY, August 23, 2008 --(PR.com)-- ChromeOrange™ today debuted Anthem For Change, a special music project and website dedicated to Barack Obama’s candidacy for President of the United States. The site, located at http://www.myspace.com/anthemforchange2008, features a song titled “Love Conquers Everything,” written and co-produced by ChromeOrange songwriter/producer/keyboardist Susan Gaide and performed by ChromeOrange recording artist Caleb Johnson. Backing Johnson on the track is the Joshua Generation choir, Gaide herself on acoustic piano, co-producer/engineer Mark Gaide on drums and percussion, guitarist Melvin Miller (formerly with The Supremes), keyboardist/organist Frank Abel (formerly with The Main Ingredient), bassist Dave Patrick and guitarist Mike Rock.

“When we first set out to record ‘Love Conquers Everything,’ Mark and I didn't have a specific goal in mind,” says Susan Gaide. “But, after young people started talking about this song as a ‘mad happy’ song, it struck us that if we can make people feel happy and hopeful, then perhaps we can make communities of people feel happy and hopeful. If we can make enough communities of people feel happy and hopeful, then perhaps the whole nation might just begin to feel happy and hopeful –‘mad happy’ and hopeful enough to cast their vote for Barack Obama on Election Day. If we all work together in the spirit of patriotism, unity and love for our country, then we can help Mr. Obama accomplish Many great things that will bring about the positive change we so desperately need. Perhaps we can even change the world.”

According to Gaide, “Love Conquers Everything” is the first of a handful of songs being produced with Johnson for a commemorative CD to be titled “Anthem for Change,” and has been entered into a competition for Obama’s inaugural song. Johnson, himself a songwriter, has co-written with Gaide what will be the second release from the album, a song titled “I Declare Today.” It will also debut on the Anthem For Change and ChromeOrange™ sites in coming weeks.

“Our intent in putting together this project is to show the nation who, in our opinion, Barack Obama is as a presidential candidate and as a fellow American citizen. We also want to inspire feelings of hope, happiness, patriotism and love among the citizens of our great country,” says Gaide. “We all must hold ourselves responsible for creating change. After he is elected, Mr. Obama cannot be solely responsible for creating change. Every citizen of this country, from young to old, must do their part to make change happen. Mr. Obama is the change we need just as much as We are the change that He needs—if we want him to accomplish what needs to be accomplished. The time for that change is Now.”

“Love Conquers Everything” may be heard on the Anthem For Change, ChromeOrange™, Caleb Johnson Official, Joshua Generation, and Susan Gaide MySpace sites as well as on the Obama Music Arts & Entertainment (http://obamamae.ning.com/profile/AnthemForChange) and Obama Brigade (http://www.obamabrigade.com/profile/AnthemForChange) sites. It is available for download on iTunes, Amazon MP3 and eMusic.
