Hermosa Beach Soccer Club Seeks Women Players - Last Chance Before Fall Kick-Off

The Hermosa Beach Soccer Club announced today that it is looking for a few good women.

Hermosa Beach, CA, August 24, 2008 --(PR.com)-- The Hermosa Beach Soccer Club (www.HermosaBeachSoccerClub.com) announced today that it is looking for a few good women. With the 2008 – 2009 season about to kick-off in September, HBSC’s Women’s team has a few spots open for women (over 18) with the right attitude and the right skills.

“HBSC’s women’s team has developed a reputation as a closely knit group that stays involved both on and off the field. We are known for our skilled play, relentless attack and solid defense,” said Rachel Valadez, HBSC Women’s team manager. “When we are on the field, ‘look out,’ because we take the game very seriously. When we are off the field we take South Bay living very seriously.”

“Our women’s team is comprised of some of the best female players in the South Bay. Most of them played key roles on their college teams, including all-conference and conference scoring leaders,” said HBSC President Brian Dragich. “Most recently our women’s team displayed their talent when they joined HBSC men’s premier team to win the co-ed division of the Temecula Holiday Classic in July 2008.”

The Hermosa Beach Soccer Club’s women’s team competes in the Premier Division of the United States of America Ladies Soccer Organization (USALSO). All games are played at Columbia Park in Torrance, CA.

The HBSC Women’s team had a disappointing finish last year due to scheduling conflicts, injuries to key players and relocation of some players. The HBSC women look to get back on track in 2008-2009 by building on its strong summer tournament play and winning the USALSO trophy. Women interested in joining the HBSC Women’s team can contact Rachel Valadez at Rachel@HermosaBeachSoccerClub.com or Katy Keen at Katy@HermosaBeachSoccerClub.com.
