Spark Integration Technologies Strengthens Advisory Board with Enterprise Software Industry Veteran Gary So

Vancouver, Canada, August 28, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Spark Integration Technologies Inc. (Spark), a developer of interoperability software, today announced the addition of enterprise software industry veteran Gary So to its Board of Advisors.

Gary So is a 10-year veteran of the enterprise software industry. Currently he is VP Strategic Business Development at Open Text, Inc. Previously Mr. So was VP Office of the CTO at Software AG, where he played a pivotal role in the company's product and technology strategy. He held the same position at webMethods, Inc., where he was instrumental in driving the company's go-to-market approach and advancing its status as an industry thought leader. Prior to joining webMethods he was Director of Professional Services at Active Software, Inc. Mr. So is a recognized authority in the areas of enterprise application integration, business process management, and service-oriented architecture technologies, and co-authored a book on these topics in 2006 titled, "Integration and SOA: Concepts, Technologies, and Best Practices".

“Gary’s extensive experience in successfully bringing integration technologies to the enterprise market is invaluable to Spark as we begin to market our product in the commercial middleware world” said Spark Co-Founder and C.E.O. Harbir Boparai.

Spark produces an award-winning middleware suite, the Distributed Integration Operating Schema(TM) (DIOS), which is designed to dramatically simplify integration between highly disparate software and hardware components and systems that may use different specifications, programming languages, operating systems, hardware architectures, and network topologies. Currently in the late R&D and evaluation phase, Spark’s technology platform is generating heavy interest from the defense and security sectors.

“The demand for greater business efficiency and transparency has made eliminating stovepipe systems an escalating priority for all organizations. This has translated into the requirement for more effective integration solutions than available on the market today. I believe that Spark, with its exclusive middleware technology and approach to the integration problem, is uniquely poised to address this need. I look forward to working with the Spark team as they move forward to capitalize on this opportunity.” said Mr. So.
