Lamar Chesterton, a retired Immunologist who has been free lance writing on a variety of weighty topics for ten years, has just published his first novel. This timely and provocative fictional work addresses key issues the country faces in the 2008 Presidential Election. These include race, religious influence in American politics, degeneration of the “American Dream”, income disparity and the political dynamics of powerful interest groups in the US and abroad.

The novel begins with the Presidential primaries of 2008, when it has become clear that the female Senator from New Jersey - Marjory Hunter - wife of the late Governor of that state, will be the Republican candidate for President. She will be opposed by the Democratic Mayor of New York City, Morris Bloomfield, a former Wall Street Banker. The country awaits having either its first woman President or first Jewish President.

In May ‘08, a very large Black man, the Governor of Mississippi, makes a startling announcement. He has been called by his personal Savior, Jesus Christ, to run as the Green Party Candidate for the Presidency.

At his press conference in Jackson, Mississippi, the Governor makes several provocative and controversial statements and delivers them forthrightly. This along with hints of an extraordinary intellect in this huge Black man sets off a chain reaction that will have repercussions around the world.
