ghip systems Completes their Product Range with DWDM

Hamburg, Germany, May 06, 2006 --(PR.com)-- ghip systems has complemented their popular passive "express" fiber optic multiplexer series with DWDM multiplexers and appropriate DWDM add/drop units. This concept now allows more than 40 data streams to be combined and transmitted over a single fiber optic connection, each one with a data rate of up to 10Gbps. Utilization and throughput of existing fiber optic infrastructure will again be optimized through usage of the express DWDM family.

As well known from the express CWDM series, DWDM point-point lines as well as tree und ring structures can be built in a flexible and cost-effective way. By cascading the DWDM components, the required fiber optical network infrastructure can be set up and extended as demand grows. Fully utilized CWDM networks can be also seamlessly anhanced with additional channels by combining with the new express DWDM units.

Due to its purely passive technology, the express DWDM series is well-prepared for building a fail-safe and maintenance-free backbone architecture.
