British Animation Back on Track

New animation film, Bob and the Lost Idols, looks set to introduce a new era in British animation design.

Chelmsford, United Kingdom, September 14, 2008 --(PR.com)-- At last, A fully animated character driven film is to be created by a UK based animation house. Bob and The Lost Idols, an Indiana Jones style adventure featuring a young monkey searching for mythical Golden Idols, is being produced by UK based CGI animation company Creation Studio.

Produced by Terry Stone, changing direction from his more familiar horror/martial arts genres (Rise of the Footsoldiers, Doghouse, Bronson), written by Daniel Noy (The Englishman and the Mafia) and Antony Nottage (founder of Creation Studio) the film promises to be an original fun adventure like no other CGI film produced to date.

“There are very few animation companies in the UK and we believe, with the creative talent of our young team of artists, that UK block busters to rival films such as The Incredibles and Ice Age can be created here at Creation Studio,” says Tony Nottage, Managing Director of Creation Studio. “In addition to Bob and the Lost Idols we have two other films in development which allows the studio to keep it’s team of animators employed full time.’

The Creation Studio animators have individually worked on features including Harry Potter, Bone Collector, Alien v Predator plus many TV and corporate projects. With the Bob and the Lost Idols project involving a £15 million budget Creation Studio are recruiting animators to be based in their Essex based studio which is decorated around the Bob and the Lost Idols theme including palm trees and a 9ft monkey above the front door.
