Woodstock Personal Trainer Begs Women to Wake Up During National Women’s Health and Fitness Day

Heart Disease is the Number 1 killer of women in America, according to the American Heart Association (AHA). Woodstock personal trainer, Carol Dunlop has created 100 tips to help women in their fight against heart disease.

Woodstock, GA, September 18, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Heart Disease is the Number 1 killer of women in America, according to the American Heart Association (AHA). However, Woodstock personal trainer and owner of Optimum Body Sculpting, Carol Dunlop, urges women not to sit back, wait and wonder about what to do, but to put a fitness plan in place that focuses on fighting back against heart disease.

Ms. Dunlop urges all women to use National Women’s Heath and Fitness Day (Wednesday, September 24, 2008) as a learning tool to assist them in putting together a fitness plan that includes physical activity, a nutritious diet and positive lifestyle behaviors, all of which are included in the AHA’s heart health goals that decrease the risk of not only heart disease, but also stroke and diabetes.

The National Women’s Health and Fitness Day was created by the Health Information Resource Center (HIRC) as a national event to encourage women to take control of their health by learning the facts they need to make smart, healthy choices and to carve out time for regular activities. This event is celebrated annually all across the U.S. on the last Wednesday in September.

The AHA urges women to take steps to make healthy choices in their daily lives so they can live longer and stronger lives. These steps include knowing their risk factors for heart disease, both the ones they can control and they ones they cannot. By addressing the risk factors they can control, women can take the first steps towards preventing heart disease.

Ms. Dunlop is committed to helping women lead heart-healthy lives. She has created a Free, downloadable E-book, “100 Ways to Lose Weight AND Live a Heart-Healthy Lifestyle.” This E-book is another tool for women to use who want to get healthier using simple, easy-to-follow tips.
