Mercantile Partners Opens the Doors on Two New Distribution Centers

Mercantile Distribution Centers 16 and 17 Mark the 26th and 27th Successful Bob Moore Construction Projects for Mercantile Partners.

Fort Worth, TX, September 22, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Mercantile Center, owned and operated by Mercantile Partners, L.P. is a strategically located business park in north Fort Worth. Spanning more than 1300 acres, Mercantile Center offers prime industrial and office locations within five minutes of the city's downtown area, in one of the fastest-growing areas of the D/FW Metroplex.

Mercantile Center recently expanded its building offerings with two new distribution centers, Mercantile Distribution Centers 16 and 17. Bob Moore Construction was general contractor and Hardy McCullah/MLM Architects was the architect for the MDC 16-17 project.

“Mercantile Center is one of the area's premier and most prestigious business parks,” said Hal Hardister, Director of Development for Mercantile Partners. “Mercantile Distribution Center 16 & 17 are the continuation of a series of speculative warehouse facilities within Mercantile Center.”

The two buildings provide 319,300 SF of new warehouse, distribution center and office space to Mercantile Center. They feature 50' X 50' typical bay spacing and a 50' X 60' loading zone along the dock doors. Each building includes skylights for natural lighting and an ESFR fire suppression system. Building 16 is 136,900 SF with 28 dock doors. Building 17 is 182,400 SF with 31 dock doors. The building shells were constructed using tilt-up construction and finished with a two-tone paint scheme to match other buildings in the business park.

“This project went smoothly from start to finish,” said Ed McGuire, Vice President of Construction for Bob Moore Construction. “Our superintendent Ray Garcia and project manager Matt Bauer did a great job of leading this project and keeping it on schedule. Working with Hal Hardister and Mercantile Partners also played a big part in the project’s success. We have a tremendous rapport with Mercantile Partners that only comes from working together on many projects over the course of several years. We’re always pleased when we start a project with Hal and Mercantile Partners. We know they are experienced, professional team members who will work with us to create a quality final product, on time and in budget. It’s a professional relationship we appreciate very much.”

Mercantile Distribution Centers 16 and 17 are the 26th and 27th buildings and finish-outs Bob Moore Construction has successfully completed for Mercantile Partners that has lasted for 17 years.

“Bob Moore Construction is a true partner in our developments,” said Hardister, “and this has been cultivated over the many years of service due to their outstanding attention to details. The dedicated staff, assigned to our projects, consistently maintains the schedule, budget and most importantly the quality of our projects. Mercantile Partners has set higher standards for Mercantile Center and Bob Moore has time after time met the challenge of our expectations. This is what separates Bob Moore from their competition and continues to be the foundation of our relationship.”
