Miami Artist George Rodez Donates His Art to Hurricane Relief in the Caribbean

In an effort to assist with hurricane relief efforts in the Caribbean, Miami artist George Rodez has mounted a campaign effort to sell his artwork and pledges to donate 100% of all net proceeds.

Miami, FL, September 25, 2008 --( With the onslaught of four storms in recent weeks affecting the island of Haiti and other sister Caribbean islands, thousands now find themselves homeless and close to a million people are now starving. After seeing the devastation, Miami artist George Rodez knew he had to do something. "I did it before during Katrina on the U.S. Gulf Coast and I know I could do it again," says Rodez.

Rodez has pledged to donate 100% of all net proceeds from the sale of a limited edition piece of artwork entitled, "Entering Through the Window to Your Soul." This piece of artwork just happens to have been selected by the Miami-Dade County Sister Cities Program for their 2008 poster and catalogue cover.

Buyers would pay $100 and receive a 10" x 10" limited edition giclee on canvas, signed and numbered by the artist with a certificate of authenticity. The net proceeds from the sale would be donated to the The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) for their relief efforts in Haiti and the Caribbean islands.

Rodez states, "There are many organizations currently requesting your help, but through my challenge, you would not only be helping those in greatest need, but you would be doing so while acquiring a valuable piece of artwork."

Rodez thanks his master printer, Miami Editions, LLC and its owners, who immediately agreed to help with the cause and helped make this happen.

Those interested in acquiring this limited edition should do so by emailing George Rodez at or by calling 786-543-7237. To view the image of "Entering Through the Window to Your Soul", go to:

Rodez closes by stating, "I challenge you today to make a difference in the world."
