First Fold-Flat, Adjustable Dog Wheelchair

Amherst, NH, September 28, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Walkin’ Wheels is the next generation of dog wheelchairs, invented by entrepreneur Mark C. Robinson. This is the first fold-flat, one-size-fits-all adjustable pet wheelchair, operated more like a child’s stroller than a traditional dog wheelchair. It will give new life to dogs with hind leg or back problems.

As founder of HandicappedPets.com, a website company that sells products for elderly, injured, and disabled pets, Mark wanted to improve on the bulkier, custom-built dog wheelchairs on the market. The simple and practical design of his pet wheelchair will finally make this option commonplace for dogs – a welcome alternative to euthanasia.

“Wheels for pets can add years to a dog’s life,” says Mark, “allowing him to get the exercise he needs to stay fit in spite of disabilities like arthritis, spinal problems, and hip and joint pain.” Carried in its own tote bag, Walkin’ Wheels offers convenience and flexibility to owners of dogs with mobility problems.

In our on-the-go society, being able to get around is at a premium. As dogs have taken on a greater role in family life, they go where the family goes. The unique fold-flat feature of Walkin’ Wheels allows easy storage in the trunk of a car or the overhead compartment of an airplane. When at home, if the dog is not using its wheels, they can be folded and stashed out of the way.

The dog owner can adjust the wheelchair to fit most medium-sized dogs – no tools needed – with simple snap-locks. Walkin’ Wheels gives dog owners an exciting new option to keep their dogs alive and active, affordable at $399.
