Words to Live by Tees Announces the B. The Revolution End Abuse Project as a "Partner for Peace," in Eradicating Domestic Violence

Washington, DC, September 30, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Words to Live By Tees (www.wordstolivebytees.com), a retail company that focuses on the power of positive living, announces the B. The Revolution End Abuse Project as a “Partner for Peace.” Words to Live By Tees donates a portion of it annual sales to Domestic Violence advocacy partners. Their 2008 advocacy partner, My Sisters Place DC is a non-profit women’s transitional center and serves as the only shelter in D.C. focused exclusively on serving the needs of battered women and their children.

Words to Live By Tees launched it first positive message t-shirt line earlier this August. With phrases such as “Resilient “when your life no longer fits change it,” and “practice the law of love,” the affirming shirts have become an instant hit. Women around the country are now wearing the shirts as a reminder to live empowered lives. Hart believes that there is nothing that can’t be achieved once you put your mind to it. She also believes in evoking change on a personal and a universal level. “That’s why each year, we will select a non-profit organization as our “Partner for Peace.” This year, the B. The Revolution End Abuse Project, chose My Sisters Place DC as its advocacy partner because of its dedication to eradicating intimate partner violence and to empowering women to take control of their own lives,” Hart added.

The B. The Revolution End Abuse Project (www.btherevolution.com) hosts events to increase Domestic Violence Awareness and Prevention on college campuses and to assist our community partners. Through events such as the Partners for Peace Silent March, which will be held October 24th in Washington DC; fundraiser and awareness rallies, Slam Poetry with a Purpose and Tee Party for Change, held on October 25th, the college community will be exposed to key note speakers and information designed to offer strategies on how we can prevent domestic violence and eradicate it from our lives. Words to Live By Tees will donate a portion of our sales to My Sisters Place DC. Tees can be purchased at www.wordstolivebytees.com.
