Latest Golf Tournament Results Now Available from The Sports HQ

The Sports HQ has updated its golf tournament results from 22nd to 28th September, 2008 – now available from its latest website: www.thesportshq.com All results can be downloaded from the news section of the website in addition to daily golf equipment and event updates.

Birmingham, United Kingdom, October 02, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Tour Championship - PGA Tour

Camilo Villegas overcame a five-shot deficit with a total of six birdies on his final 11 holes of regulation to secure a second straight victory after closing on 4-under 66 - to finish 7-under 273 overall. Villegas played a King Cobra L4V driver with King Cobra Speed LD 3-wood and 5-wood combination - in addition to a King Cobra Carbon CB (3-iron) and Pro CB (5-PW) irons. Titleist Vokey Design Spin Milled wedges (54, 58 and 60 degrees) and finally a Scotty Cameron Circa 62 completed the line-up of golf clubs.

Navistar LPGA Classic - LPGA

Lorena Ochoa has won her seventh victory of 2008 in a sudden-death play-off at the RTJ Golf Trial, Capitol Hill - Senator Course. The final day which saw many players card low rounds, Ochoa finished 2-under par 70 and 15-under 273 overall. Lorena played the following Ping golf clubs at the Navistar LPGA Classic, including: Ping Rapture driver, Ping G10 3-wood and Ping Rapture 5-wood. Ochoa also played a Rapture hybrid (21-deg) with Ping s58 irons (4-PW). The Navistar LPGA Classic champion finished with Ping Tour wedges (50 and 56-deg) and a Ping Redwood ZB putter.

Quinn Insurance British Masters - European Tour

Defending British Masters champion Lee Westwood missed out at The Belfry this year to Gonzalo Fernndez-Castao after a thrilling play-off against the past champion. Gonzalo carded 12-under 276 whilst playing a variety of Titleist golf clubs including: Titleist 909D3 driver, Titleist 690MB irons (3-9) and a pair of Titleist Vokey Design wedges (48 and 52-degrees) in addition to a Vokey Spin Milled wedge (58-deg). Gonzalo finished with a Scotty Cameron Studio Select putter.

SAS Championship - Champions Tour

Argentina's Eduardo Romero has won the SAS Championship to record his third Champions Tour victory in five starts. Romero closed with a 6-under 66 to secure a three stroke victory over Tom Kite. Romero used the following Callaway golf clubs to secure victory at the Prestonwood Country Club including a Callaway FT-5 driver and Callaway X fairway wood in addition to a Callaway FT hybrid (18-deg) and Callaway X-20 irons (3-PW). Romero also played Callaway X-Forged Wedges (52 and 60-deg) and finished with an Odyssey White Hot XG #1 putter.
