Bob Moore Construction Selected as Member of OSHA State Partnership

Bob Moore Construction has been accepted into Texas’s State OSHA Partnership Program. Bob Moore Construction’s state-level partnership membership follows their acceptance as only the fifth general contractor in north Texas into OSHA’s Local Partnership in 2007 and their successful reassessment earlier this year. With the state partnership now formalized, the company can now perform greater self-governance of its jobsites all across Texas.

Arlington, TX, October 05, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Bob Moore Construction has been accepted into Texas’s State OSHA Partnership Program.

The OSHA Partnership is a program that grants authority for more self-governance to a select group of general contractors that have demonstrated their commitment to the spirit and the letter of OSHA requirements. Members of OSHA’s partnership program have earned a higher level of self-governance, and have the authority to perform OSHA level control of their jobsites.

The approval process to become a local OSHA Partner takes several months and includes an extensive review of the contractor's written safety program and records, input from the contractor's insurance company on worker compensation claims and a jobsite inspection by local OSHA leadership. All local partners are reassessed for program eligibility on an annual basis.

“This new state partnership agreement permits us to perform OSHA-level control of our jobsites anywhere in Texas,” said Dino Sideris, Safety Director for Bob Moore Construction. “This is a tremendous partnership of trust based on a demonstrated track record of excellence. Our safety standards are in no way diminished - in fact, they're increased to levels well above minimum requirements and we will continue to meet rigorous reporting requirements to the agency. The difference is that we have earned the trust of OSHA that allows us to take on more ownership of our program. With the state OSHA partnership formalized, we can exercise this ownership at all of our Texas jobsites and not just the ones in the Dallas / Fort Worth Metroplex."

"We are extremely pleased to be a member of the OSHA local and state partnerships," said Ed McGuire, Vice President of Construction for Bob Moore Construction. "The local OSHA Partnership membership has allowed us to accept greater ownership of jobsite safety and collaborate more closely with OSHA and QUOIN. With the state partnership we can expand our proactive approach to safety to many more of our jobsites.

“There is a big difference between simply being compliant with OSHA requirements and aggressively driving greater safety on construction jobsites," added Mr. McGuire, “and we have committed ourselves to doing the latter. The partnerships are indicative of our success along these lines. Over the past several years Bob Moore Construction has become a recognized leader in construction safety in north Texas, thanks to the great work of Dino Sideris and our superintendents; the state partnership will allow us to expand that reputation all around the state and have a greater impact on working conditions for construction workers all around Texas.”
