iUniverse Would Like to Announce the Release of Dreams Can Come True by Albert Duran

Bloomington, IN, October 09, 2008 --(PR.com)-- New Poetry Collection Reflects Poet’s Deep Connection to Family.

Albert Duran’s, new collection of poetry, Dreams Can Come True, is a testament to the power of a close-knit family and loved ones who provide each other with support and guidance in difficult times.

Eighty poems touch on a variety of aspects of life, from hope and faith to love and intimacy. Duran’s, verses are simply written and sincere; his words are both innocent and wise. This can be seen in this excerpt of “Sydney’s Gentle Soul,” written for the poet’s niece:

While our touch breathes life into a moment’s trust,
and in the dark her whispers still beckon my soul
as I see the promise of this love glowing in her eyes.
Her voice reaches across the shadow of distance
as we share in the hope that goes beyond all hope.

Sydney’s, gentle soul mirrors a vision of innocence
as I cherish the warmth lying within her presence,
and she reveals it with the tenderness in her caress.
Her love claims that part of my dreams I can’t hide
as her grace fills each of my heartbeats with pride…

Duran’s, honesty and his use of vivid descriptions of the five senses make this a compelling set of poetic verses. This, along with his gratitude and love for his family, make a lasting impression on readers.

“Within this manuscript you can witness my struggles; not unlike anyone else’s own efforts to deal with the realities of life,” Duran, writes. “You can also see how my family has provided me with the focus to maintain some control over the day to day necessities of life. I could not have survived without the bond that I have maintained with my own family because they are all that the illusion of the word family, that is real to me.”
