Lake Dallas, TX, October 23, 2008 --(PR.com)-- The Boys & Girls Clubs of Denton County announced today the kickoff of their 3rd Annual Christmas Fundraiser. The fundraiser supported by NASCAR Nationwide Series #47 Driver Kelly Bires will be held on October 31, 2008 at Boys & Girls Club in Lake Dallas, Texas.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Denton County offer fresh-cut Christmas Greenery for sale during their annual fundraiser and profits derived from the sales go to providing Christmas gifts for needy children and equipment for kids to use while at the Club. “This has been a tough financial year for many families and we expect to see an even greater need for more presents than in previous years”, stated Babs Troutman, Chief Professional Officer.

“We are thrilled that Kelly Bires is supporting such a wonderful cause. With his help and the support of our local community we should exceed last year’s goal and bring a smile to many kids and their families during this Christmas Holiday”, Troutman said.

NASCAR Nationwide Series #47 Driver Kelly Bires will be arriving at approximately 5:00p.m. at the Boys & Girls Club located at 303 Alamo Avenue in Lake Dallas to support the Club’s efforts and signing autographs. Bires, who has four top 10 finishes under his belt for the 2008 Nationwide Season, will be taking time away from his busy racing schedule to assist with the Club’s fundraising efforts. “I’m sure the kids and their families will be excited to meet Kelly and his presence should be just the right spark needed to kickoff a successful fundraiser”, stated Troutman.
