Former Royal Marine to Help People Overcome Fears and Phobias

West Midlands, United Kingdom, October 25, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Former Royal Marine Andy Duncan from Birmingham has launched a new career helping people overcome their fears and phobias.

Andy Duncan has used his experience of scary and dangerous situations in the Forces to set up his own company, The Fear Master. He will be tackling common phobias such as heights, flying and spiders, but will also be helping people struggling with slimming, giving up smoking and relationships.

For 15 years Andy was a physical training instructor in the Marines. His job was to get recruits in shape physically and mentally by overcoming perceived and real fears day in day out, as well as dealing with his own fears in combat. After leaving, he gained qualifications in motivational training, hypnosis and Neuro Linguistic Programming.

Andy, who lives in Harborne, said: “Fear is something that can be destroyed, or at least put into a compartment in the mind where it will not stop a person from doing what they really want to do. I will help people to get over anxieties that lead them to over-eat, or perhaps get over a fear of dogs that stops them going out. Common fears and phobias can be totally debilitating for many people, but my approach of getting the mind and body in tune gets them under control quickly.”

To help people understand their fears and phobias The Fear Master has set up a blog which shares support and advice for people who want to overcome their fears and phobias - www.thefearmaster.blogspot.com

The Fear Master can work with people all over the country, but especially the West Midlands.
