African-American Gospel Cartoon to Air on TBN's "Smile of a Child" TV Network

Independent children’s gospel record label creates African-American Christian animated show to air on Trinity Broadcasting Network’s (TBN) “Smile of a Child” children’s TV network.

North Hollywood, CA, October 28, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Animation is a very powerful and popular way to entertain and educate…now God is using “cartoons” to minister the Word of God and to deliver the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world. The ground-breakin’, history-makin’ gospel cartoon…”Dex Davis:Child of God!” is an African-American, Christian animated show to air on Trinity Broadcasting Network’s (TBN) “Smile of a Child” children’s TV network on Saturday, November 15, 2008 at 8:00pm (PST).

Who is Dex Davis? He’s not a Wizard. He’s not a Space Alien. He’s not a Secret Agent... and he’s not a Kung-Fu Master. He's just a regular 11-year old African-American kid who lives in a regular neighborhood. There’s one very special quality that makes him unique…Dex Davis is a born-again Christian. Dex Davis is saved, he’s sanctified…and he’s filled with the Holy Ghost. The Dex Davis: Child of God series was created to glorify God and to proclaim and teach the gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This is the beginning of a series of life-changing, animated stories that will surely minister to, entertain, and educate millions of children for generations to come.

The “Dex Davis: Child of God!” gospel animation series was co-created and produced by Horace Christian and Lamar Johnson (TGKS Records). God has inspired these two African-American men of God to be trailblazers in children’s ministry and in animation. They have no previous experience or formal training in animation. They humbly say, “We never went to animation school or learned from professional animators. The Holy Ghost taught us how to do all of the animation, the voices, the music, the scriptwriting, the graphic design…everything. God deserves all of the praise and all of the glory! Our goal was to answer God’s call and create a truly anointed gospel cartoon series that would have a life-changing impact on children all over the world.” Lamar and Horace are truly living testimonies of Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.” TGKS Records is an independent record company based in North Hollywood, California that specializes in producing Christian media products for children, including children's gospel music CD's and Christian animation DVD's. TGKS Records is "the record label where God is able and where children are the heart of the ministry."
