Atlanta, GA, October 28, 2008 --(PR.com
)-- Shannon Dill Strachan, of Smyrna, Georgia has achieved her dream of publishing her debut novel, A Matter of Time, through Lulu.com. Shannon is from Gaffney, South Carolina and is a graduate of Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Various career paths led Shannon to Atlanta, Georgia, where she has lived for ten years. Shannon is a Contract Administrator for one of Atlanta’s oldest companies.
Owing her love of writing to her mother, Sandra Dill Little, Shannon recalls, “When I think of my childhood I visualize Mother with spiral notebooks: journaling, writing poetry and short stories. I started journaling early in life, which has proven to be an enormous source of personal strength.” Shannon holds that she did not create, but rather witnessed the tale of love, hope, betrayal and absolution, found in A Matter of Time, set in Asheville, North Carolina in 1887.
A Matter of Time leads the reader amid the struggles of everyday life in nineteenth century America, as one young woman learns to honor her dreams, despite the bitter circumstances of her life. Though the heroine’s path is a broken one, littered with mystery and secrets, it leads to peace and a renewal of hope.
Shannon is thrilled to finally share her work with readers, and attributes breaking through the traditional entry barriers to publishing to Lulu.com.
