Henderson, NV, November 02, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Television returned to the Silver Nugget Casino Bowling Center October 29th and gave the world its first glimpse of a budding bowling star named Billy Platt. The self taught 17 year old, who has been bowling for only four years, stunned Panamanian bowling star Gregorio Daisley 240-209 in the championship round of the Corona Bowling Illustrated Challenge Cup October 29th.

Platt, a Las Vegas native had already upset LPBT bowler Adrianne Barela 255- 248 by closing with five straight strikes to get to the Championship Match.

Barela, a WIBC qualifier, herself had pulled off an upset by knocking out heavy favorite and 10 Time Team USA bowler David Haynes in a squeaker 222-220.

Haynes began the tournament by defeating colorful Senior bowling star Gary Trosen 258-171. Trosen, owner of perfect 300 games in the 60's, 70's, 80's 90's, and 00's, just couldn't get it going against the fast moving Haynes., but looked great on TV4U bowling in sunglasses.

"What a great tournament," said PBA bowler and Silver Nugget Casino Bowling Director Eric Heflin. "That was one of the most exciting nights of bowling I've seen at any level. What a great start for our Silver Nugget Casino television series."
