Halloween at HarborPlace a Treat for All

Port St Lucie, FL, November 03, 2008 --(PR.com)-- HarborPlace residents filled the Retirement Resort's lobby Halloween morning, candy baskets in hand, eagerly anticipating the arrival of the trick-or-treaters from Oxford Academy. And here they came... monsters, rag dolls, firemen, ballerinas, superheroes, cheerleaders, butterflies and more. It was hard to tell who was more excited, the children who were collecting candy donated by the residents, the staff in their costumes (ranging from angels to hippies to a nun), or the residents who were oohing and aahing over the precious pre-schoolers and posing with the costumed staff. There were no tricks this day, except guessing who was the nun, but what a treat to see the smiles of people ranging in age from 4 to 98. And in the afternoon two more local preschools visited their Assisted Living Community where residents were looking forward to giving out candy and sharing smiles. The costume party for residents topped off the day with musical entertainment, snacks, and prizes for the most creative costumes. Everyone's a winner at HarborPlace.
