JM Productions entertainment of Quincy, MA, proudly announces the arrival of Ms. Joan Crowe direct from NYC with special guest Mr. Tom LaMark to open a new Quincy cabaret room on November 7 & 8, 2008. JM’s “Standing O! at Cela’s Italian restaurant welcomes Joan as she performs her extraordinary cabaret concert “In the Key of Comedy” at 8:00 on Friday evening and 7:30 & 9:30 on Saturday evening. With Society Rhythm Joan has performed at the Rainbow Room, The Carnegie Club, Brunelli's and Trumpet's, Orchard Street, The Globe, Harry's of Hartsdale, Zuppa, Tara, and Coyote Flaco.

She has produced four cabaret shows. Her most recent one, Women of Note is a tribute to great women songwriters. Time Out New York selected her as a "Critic's Pick" for her debut show, Shooting Stars, which earned her first MAC Award nomination. Her show As the Crowe Flies was dubbed "Fabulous!" by Bloomberg Radio and "Hilarious!" by the Associated Press and earned her a second MAC Award nomination. In 2002, The Devil in Miss Joan, a hysterical look at good and evil, garnered her the coveted MAC Award for Musical Comedy. Her cabaret credits include performances at The Manor, The King Kong Room, Archie's Place, Westchester Conservatory of Music, Rockland Center for the Arts, The Emelin Theatre, The Hackensack Cultural Arts Center, Don't Tell Mama, Eighty-Eights, Danny's Skylight Room, The Duplex, Judy's Chelsea, The Cinegrill in Los Angeles, Odettes, Teddy Cares, the National Society of Arts and Letters, the ASCAP songwriters' showcase, and the Mable Mercer Cabaret Convention at Town Hall. In true Gemini fashion during her actress years, Joan has done a little bit of everything. In Film: Eye for an Eye with Sally Field, Working Girl, Moonstruck, and Presumed Innocent. In Television: a recurring reporter role on All My Children, a recurring nurse on One Life to Live and co-host of European Journal in Germany, where she made use of her fluency in German. Off Broadway: The Promenade, Dance Theatre Workshop, and The Classic Theatre. Regional Theatre: The Kennedy Center, The Asolo State Theatre, Florida Studio Theatre, Indiana Rep and The Phoenix and The Edinburgh Theatre Festival.
