CDIA at Boston University Hosts Big Shots

The Center for Digital Imaging Arts at Boston University kicked off its six-part photography speaker series with two notable industry leaders.

Waltham, MA, November 05, 2008 --(PR.com)-- The Center for Digital Imaging Arts at Boston University (CDIA) began its six-part photography speaker series on Monday with Julieanne Kost of Adobe and noted fashion/celebrity photographer Matthew Jordan Smith.

The evening began with Matthew Jordan Smith who discussed his amazing fashion and celebrity work with the packed house. With a contagious excitement and invaluable insights, he inspired everyone to do what they love and do it well.

Julieanne Kost from Adobe followed. She covered everything from her early days as a support hotline operator to the latest tools in CS4 – even showing a demo of how she created a composite of her own images.

The Big Shots at CDIA speaker series continues on December 8 with award-winning photographer, Bambi Cantrell. The industry veteran will be talking about wedding and portrait photography, showing her own work and discussing printing. More speakers are being scheduled for 2009 including Tony Corbell on January 27.

Proceeds from the events will be donated to the Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep Foundation. Big Shots at CDIA is sponsored by Rangefinder Magazine, Microsoft, Adobe Systems, WPPI and Nik Software.
