)-- Hitting the High Seas with Charlestown Boys & Girls Club
The Navigator Club (http://www.thenavigatorclub.com), a membership-based boat club, recently hosted a Boston Harbor cruise for the children of the Boys & Girls Club of Charlestown, at the Navigator Club’s base at Constitution Marina, 28 Constitution Road, Charlestown.
Approximately 25 children from the Boys & Girls Club summer camp program were invited to come down to Constitution Marina and go for a guided tour of Boston Harbor aboard The Navigator Club’s boats. Following the harbor tour, there was an ice cream social and several fishing and pool prizes.
“This is something I have wanted to do for years – and I am very excited that we were able to put this event together with the Boys and Girls Club” said Captain Ed Mancini, The Navigator Club’s founder. “This is our way of sharing our love of the ocean with the local children who may not otherwise have the opportunity to go boating this summer.”
