United Nations Official Hails Obama’s Victory

Doha, Qatar, November 09, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Dr. Naseer Shahir Homoud, the Goodwill Ambassador for the Intergovernmental Institution for the use of Micro-algae Spirulina against Malnutrition (IIMSAM), the Permanent Observer to the United Nations Economic and Social Council, has congratulated Barak Obama, President- elect of United States of America expressing confidence that world will now feel a new change.

He hoped that under his presidency, endeavours to ensure new world order will attain new heights.

In his press statement, Dr. Nasser Shahir Homoud said the Middle East has many expectations from the new president- elect. He hoped that Obama will help efforts to ensure permanent peace in the region.

He hoped that Obama will take all initiatives to strengthen and democratize United Nations. He called upon the International community to help IIMSAM.

At the occasion, IIMSAM Goodwill Ambassador appealed to all Government, celebrities, NGOs and other organisations of the world to come forward with their active and sincere participations to implement UN objectives of solving human problems in all its types and manifestations.

He called upon the American community and all other members of UN and its all agencies to come out with revised plans and mechanism to deal with all emergent crises like human rights violation, poverty, hunger, malnutrition, global warming, epidemic, and food shortage among others.

He further said the victory of Democrat Barack Obama in the US Presidential elections will boost up bilateral and multilateral relationships amongst countries falling in the region.

He reiterates the world's biggest expectation from the new President is the revival of peace and prosperity across the globe.
