Xtreme Krav Maga and Fitness Hosts Women's Self Defense Seminar at St. Louis University

Xtreme Krav Maga will be hosting a women’s self defense seminar at Saint Louis University, Wednesday - November 12th from 5 – 7 pm at the Simon Recreation Center on campus.

St. Louis, MO, November 12, 2008 --(PR.com)-- The event benefits The Ali Kemp Educational Foundation (T.A.K.E). They will be raffling off a free 3 month membership to Xtreme Krav Maga.

Krav Maga is the official self defense system of the Israeli Defense Forces, and has been taught to hundreds of law enforcement agencies and thousands of civilians in the United States.

Their classes for Women focus on rape prevention techniques and tactics. Learn to spot danger signs and learn how to defend yourself when no danger signs are given. This program teaches you how to defend yourself against common chokes, grabs, bear hugs, and other attacks, including fighting on the ground and when confronted by a weapon. They emphasize realistic scenarios and realistic defenses.

Krav Maga is based on simple principles and instinctive movements, this reality-based system is designed to teach real self defense in the shortest possible time.

Students will learn combatives such as punches, kicks, knees, elbows, head butts and how to defend against common chokes, grabs, and bear hugs, as well as weapons such as guns, knives, and sticks. Just as important, we teach people to function during the stress and shock of a sudden, violent encounter. Tested on the battlefield and in the streets, Krav Maga's practical approach to self defense will make you safer and more secure.
