Caring Chiropractor Will Not Let the Economic Situation Ruin Christmas This Year

Shelby Township, MI, November 14, 2008 --(PR.com)-- With the current economic crisis taking place, a concerned Chiropractor in Shelby Township, Michigan, Dr. Karl Johnson, is making sure that families in need are not left out this year. Dr. Johnson is offering his patients rewards for donating to the Annual Extended Hand Christmas Food Drive. “I believe that when someone gives something out of good will, they should receive something back. This brings the community closer and helps us acknowledge and appreciate one another more”, said Dr. Johnson. The Annual Extended Hand reaches out to the local area's low income families, senior citizens, couples and singles. The Extended Hand is a community based non-profit organization run on volunteers that has served the community for 30 years by preparing food baskets for the needy year round.

Donations can be made at Chiropractic & Nutrition Wellness Center located at 51735 Van Dyke Avenue in Shelby Township, Michigan. Eligible donation items include the donation of toys (minimum of $15.00 for each toy), good condition clean blankets, non-perishable foodstuffs (such as canned meats, fruits, vegetables, boxed potatoes, cakes, mixes, bagged rice, navy beans, pinto beans, Jell-O, condiments, and peanut butter and jelly), or a donation of $25.00 cash for perishable supplies (such as for ham, eggs, turkey, butter, milk, bread, and potatoes). Dr. Johnson will be giving his current practice members a $10.00 credit on their accounts for their donations.

However, non-practice members who wish to become practice members of either nutrition or chiropractic services (or both) will receive some giving from Dr. Johnson also. A donation to Annual Extended Hand Food Drive will give new Chiropractic practice members:

* An exam to see where their current health condition stands.
* A consultation to discuss how their health can be improved with our services.
* 2 x-ray views to see what problematic areas need further concentration (if needed, additional x-ray views will be at normal and customary fees).

For new nutrition practice members giving a donation, Dr. Johnson will be giving back:
* A consultation to discuss their current health condition and how it can be improved with proper nutrition.
* An exam to see how their current health state can be improved.
* A Heart Rate Variability Test: a high-tech way to monitor the nerve function that affects organs.

Make this Christmas special by helping our community grow as one. “In this time of economic stress, there is no time to leave anyone behind. Make this holiday season a crucial year for those who need our help as we know that the current economic crisis has affected many families”, said Dr. Johnson. Please bring your donations in by 6 p.m. on Friday, December 19 to Chiropractic & Nutrition Wellness Center located at 51735 Van Dyke Avenue in Shelby Township, Michigan.
