O’Guin Decorative Arts Attends Going for Green Conference

Christopher O’Guin says, "More and more clients are requesting eco-friendly ways to decorate their homes. This expo was a great opportunity to learn about new ideas that are available and to network with other professionals."

Naples, FL, November 15, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Christopher O’Guin, vice president of sales and product development at O’Guin Decorative Arts, remains committed to the idea of designing and decorating with eco-friendly products. He has just returned from a trade show and exposition entitled “Going for Green”.

The expo, coordinated by the Florida South Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers, showcased new and existing green decorating and design products, as well as concepts for future manufactured goods.

O’Guin says, "More and more clients are requesting eco-friendly ways to decorate their homes. This expo was a great opportunity to learn about new ideas that are available and to network with other professionals who are incorporating environmentally-conscious choices into their design work."

During the three-day conference on Hutchison Island, Florida, attendees also participated in continuing education courses and roundtable discussions about emerging trends in interior design.

O’Guin says, “There are many new green decorating trends, from light decorative environmental touches to earth-friendly materials. Bamboo floors and curtains, faux stone walls and “green” paints are just some of eco chic building and designing products being used, right now.”

O’Guin has become locally and regionally known for his commitment to utilizing earth-friendly ideas in his designing and decorating. He was recently featured on WINK TV News in Fort Myers and is a member of the recently created Southwest Florida Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council.

O’Guin Decorative Arts, a second-generation decorative arts studio, creates and installs custom wallpapers, fine finishes and textures as well as natural earth and lime plasters.
